FREEFORM CUFFS

חריזה שאינה בדיוק על פי הכללים. זו ש"מתפרעת" מסיבה זו או אחרת - יוצרת לעיתים אי שקט פנימי, לעיתים נותנת תחושה נפלאה של הרמוניה. הכללים - כשל עבודות אמנות אחרות, בכל מדיה. האמן אמור "לחוש" את המרחב ולשמור על שיווי משקל. (האונה הימנית, חברים... האונה הימנית..)

צירפתי מספר עבודות מקסימות שמצאתי באינטרנט, שונות לחלוטין זו מזו, שיווי המשקל שונה, אבל קיים. לפעמים בשקט ובשלווה (lunn Manning) ולפעמים ב"רעש וצלצולים (Marylou Holvenstot) .
העבודה של Jean Hutter מקסימה בעיני. כמו גלים של ים.. הרמוניה נפלאה, ומעניינת. 
מתעתדת מתי שהוא אף לחרוז משהו משלי. כבר ניסיתי פעם.. ויצא איום ונורא :) העבודה שחרזתי הזכירה לי סריגה של של בני שביצע באדיקות בגיל 6. משהו שאי אפשר לתאר במילה אחת, ואולי אי אפשר לתאר בכלל. מן צינור ארוך של קשרים שמשנה זוית ועובי..
אנסה שוב לבצע עבודה מהסוג הזה, FREE FORM BEADING . מי יודע אולי אצליח יותר. צריך לשמור על אופטימיות..

Free form cuffs - must be fun to make. I hope to make one soon. I tried to make a free form cuff in the past.. it was a mess.. :( I hope to be more successful this time.

BEADING ARTIST - KATE BOYAN

As you know beading art can be breath taking and inspiring.

I came across this amazing embriodery beaded art while searching the internet for new beading stuff.

As usual, every time I find myself amazed... the WAOOOO experience.. I share it with you. 

KATE BOYAN is the artist. She creates bead art for the last 35 years.

Did I mention that she lives in Alaska??? 

Every piece that she shows in her blog "Kate Boyan's Gallery"  is amazing, tells a story. Her work is quiet but as you keep looking at it, it enters your soul. You can feel the atmosphere, almost smell it...

Amazing!! Isn't it?

Unusual interesting Beading Challenge - April 2012

Dear beaders, 

As every week, looking for beading challenges, I found this interesting and unusual challenge in JEANNIE'S BLOG

It is called "Do Over". The rules are simple: You get from Jeannie a Do Over challenge piece, which is an old, boring piece of jewelry, and your challenge is to turn it into something beautiful and amazing.

You can find 3rd Do Over Challenge in Jeannie's blog. 

Be aware to post the "before" and "after" pieces on Tuesday, April 24th. 

Looks to me as a great idea to challenge yourself with someon else's piece. It makes you creative and sharpen your skills. 

I like this challenge, I think it is worth trying at least once. 

As you know, challenging ourselves as artists is important for personal grouth. This is why I share the challenges I find in the internet with you. I share those that I find interesting. I participate in some and write about it in MY BLOG. You are welcome to enter and read about my personal beadwork journal.

Mikki Ferrugiaro - Free tutorial

Mikki Ferrugiaro is a British artist. I came across a free tutorial of hers. A very simple tutorial. Nevertheless, I thought it is worth sharing it with you. She calls it: Crystal Corners Tila Bead stich. 

I find her work unusual and creative. 

She has more tutorials in her Artfire studio. In my opinion, it is worth visiting :-)

Today, as I usually do lately in the mornings with my coffee, I surfed the internet looking for unique beaded art. This is what I found In "Etsy" searching "beads". You can click the photos to find more about the artists and their work.
